TYRE NEWS: GOODYEAR PROVIDES MALAYSIAN DRIVERS WITH WORRY FREE ASSURANCE

Goodyear Malaysia is delivering greater assurance to drivers by offering its Worry Free Assurance program. This provides replacement tyres within six months from the date of purchase on selected Goodyear tire patterns for road hazard damage that is beyond repair (caused by puncture, cut, bruise or impact during the course of normal driving) on a maintained road (within the stipulated terms and conditions). Tyres are expensive. Especially in those large low profile sizes. AND what is the difference between tyre and tire? Tyre is the English way of spelling it and 'tire' is the American/Canadian way of spelling it as per the press release - there you go, another lesson for you folks out there.


Some of the terms and conditions in the Worry Free Assurance program is that it offers purchasers a free tyre replacement for damages caused by road hazards when the tire tread depth is at more than 6.7mm. For road hazard damages that occur within 5.5 to 6.6mm of the tyre tread depth, a partial credit will be issued for use in the purchase of a new Goodyear tyre of the same size and design.

Goodyear’s Worry Free Assurance program was first launched in Malaysia in 2013 to provide added protection against road hazard damage for drivers who purchased Goodyear Assurance TripleMax tyres. The program has now been extended to four more tyre patterns in the Goodyear’s passenger and SUV range; including Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, Eagle F1 Directional 5, Eagle EfficientGrip and EfficientGrip SUV.

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 June 2014 – Goodyear Malaysia has backed the quality and durability of its tires

by extending its Worry Free Assurance program, designed to help provide drivers with greater peace of

mind while on the road.

is delivering greater assurance to drivers by offering its Worry Free Assurance program. This provides

replacement tires on selected Goodyear tire patterns for road hazard damage that is beyond repair*.
