Now, they have officially launched the All-New Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, which as you know, plugs in between fully electric and internal combustion engine vehicles. The notable fact about Hybrids is that they allow you an extended range and the flexibility of using fossil fuels to extend the range - here up to over 1,200km, and also they cater to those that are lazy to wait for long charging, or even top up times, at charging stations. Its petrol engine serves primarily as a supporting energy source, engaging directly with the wheels only when it is more efficient, such as during highway cruising or long uphill drives. So it actually means that in commutes or traffic, it is possible to just run on the battery power for up to 170km. If you have your office, school run or coffee shop around 10km away, you could go fully electric most of the time.
