On Friday, the 9th of January, JETOUR Malaysia announced that the soon to be launched JETOUR T2 has achieved a 5-star rating from the ASEAN New Car Assessment Programme (ASEAN NCAP) under the 2021–2025 assessment protocol, with an overall score of 86.50 points. The 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating is much welcomed as the JETOUR T2 prepares to make its Malaysian entrance in the 1st quarter of 2026. The nice, squarish looking, 1,870KG, JETOUR T2 achieved 37.17 points (out of 40 points) in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, 15.94 points (out of 20 points) in the Child Occupant Protection (COP) category, 17.14 points (out of 20 points) in the Safety Assist (SA) category and 16.25 points (out of 20 points) in the Motorcycle Safety (MS) category. The results underscore the brand’s strong commitment to occupant protection and road safety for customers in Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region.

The JETOUR T2 is equipped with a comprehensive range of safety features - Level 2 ADAS, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and a Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for the driver, front passenger, and rear occupants. It is also equipped with rear seat occupant detection, Blind Spot Detection (BSD) on both sides, Pedestrian Protection (PP), Child Presence Detection (CPD), as well as ISOFIX child seat anchors.
In addition, the SUV offers a suite of advanced safety assist technologies as optional equipment, including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for city, inter-urban, pedestrian, and motorcycle scenarios, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Auto High Beam (AHB).
The T2 has a 254 PS/390 Nm 2.0T petrol engine, 7-speed DCT, So it will be quite a decent drive if you like some poke to have some fun.
