Photo Comparo - Exterior styling of the new Proton Perdana vs the previous Government-only Perdana / Honda Accord rebadge

Proton recently launched the new Proton Perdana and most of you are aware that it is based on the eighth generation Honda Accord which was produced from 2007 to 2012. This 2016 Perdana features the same eight generation Honda Accord chassis, engine, transmission but with a massive rework of the body. Here we have a comparison in terms of styling - the older car is the one with the 'GP40' registered plate, the newer one is the B plate test car.

Away with the Proton Perdana

I have just arrived in Melaka after a drive with the Proton Perdana 2.0. I am down here with a bunch of other automotive journos who were in the 2.4 and 2.0 also. Here are some real life pics of the cars from my phone for the time being.

The other day I was invited with a the new Proton Perdana 2.0 and 2.4liter variants at the Proton semi-high speed oval track. This was another one of those hush-hush sessions where we were not allowed to take any photos. So there are no photos here. Just the drive report. But anyway, most of you who are on social media would have already seen leaked photos of the car floating around here and there. So it basically looks like what you have already seen in the photographs.
