TQ WULING has launchedt he Wuling Bingo EV. This new battery electric EV is available in two variants, offering a driving range of up to 410 km (CLTC) on a single charge which is for the top variant (WLTP should be about 23% less give or take which is still a reasonable range). With the launch, this is currently the most affordable B segment EV around, as with the early bird rebates, are even cheaper than a Proton eMAS 5.

The Bingo EV is locally assembled by TQ WULING. TQ Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. (TQ) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad, established to lead the Group’s collaboration with SGM Wuling (SAIC-GM-Wuling) from China (but note the General Motors part in it - GM is a long established automotive global company).The compact electric hatchback is offered in two well-equipped variants, the Bingo PRO priced at RM67,800 and the Bingo MAX at RM72,800. Both are priced very competitively and with an established name behind this new to Malaysia brand, it seems like a feasible option especially with the early bird perks you will see in the next paragraph.

We do think that this car looks like a decent town or city EV from the way it is designed. The interior has also different, but practical design traits that makes it look original when looking through a sea of EVs on sale out there. The lack of centre console makes it easy from even the people in front to just cross over and makes the car spacious up front. There are physical buttons for basic aircondition controls as well as physical buttons for drive modes and other adjustments. We like physical switches here and don't really like going through stuff buried inside the infotainment system. The same sized infotainment screen and instrument cluster screen as well as the sculpted dashboard details make is look fresh and different from other China branded cars on the market. It even has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to make things easy and all the basic equipment you need.
Of course, TQ Wuling needed to keep the price down, so the Advanced safety systems are there, but not that extensive - There are still blind spot warning alerts, low speed pedestrian alarms are notable ADAS stuff. We think that being affordable and still have other basics like the reverse cameras are a very good thing to keep this car affordable for everyone.
The only thing that we find a slightly drawback is that the car looks too cute for its own good. It may need some nice five spoke open wheel design to add a little manliness to it. Of course, this is purely subjective. You folks out there may like the overtly cute, cute, sweet, sweet design of the Bingo. We like the two tone colour scheme though. That uplifts the car in many ways and makes it look very Euro chic too.

Kuala Lumpur, 17 December 2025 – TQ WULING today officially launched the highly
anticipated TQ WULING Bingo EV (electric vehicle) in Malaysia, marking a major milestone
in making electric mobility more accessible to everyday Malaysians.
The locally assembled compact electric hatchback is offered in two well-equipped variants,
the Bingo PRO priced at RM67,800 and the Bingo MAX at RM72,800, positioning it as one
of the most affordable EVs options available in Malaysia. To celebrate the launch, TQ
WULING is offering exclusive benefits via Bingo’s Fabulous Five Perks, which includes a
RM5,000 cash rebate. This brings the on-the-road (OTR) price to RM62,800 for the Bingo

Performance and driving experience
Designed with everyday Malaysians in mind, the Bingo EV is developed to meet the needs of urban drivers seeking efficiency, style, comfort and practicality in a city-friendly form.
The Pro variant features a 31.9 kWh lithium-iron-phosphate battery while the Max offers a larger 37.9 kWh capacity. The Bingo Max delivers up to 410 km of CLTC-rated driving range, while the Pro offers up to 333 km.
Both variants are powered by a front-mounted 50 kW electric motor paired with a single-speed reduction gear and front-wheel drive, producing 68 PS and 150 Nm of torque. This setup provides smooth acceleration along with energy efficiency and easy drivability, ensuring the Bingo EV is well-suited for daily commuting and dense urban traffic.
Battery and charging
The Bingo EV is powered by SGMW’s proprietary MAGIC Battery system—an advanced,
proven technology developed by one of China’s most established automotive manufacturers

Its body is sculpted with smooth, rounded curves rather than sharp, aggressive edges — giving it a playful, friendly silhouette that reflects the brand’s aim of “EV mobility for everyday Malaysians.”
At the front, the Bingo EV adopts a closed-grille design complemented by a pair of striking X- shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and matching LED headlamps. This signature lighting design is echoed at the rear, where the taillights reflect the same stylised pattern, creating visual harmony and a distinctive “face” that is recognisable even at night.
The use of a two-tone paint scheme — body in colour, roof in contrasting black — further enhances the Bingo’s youthful and modern character. For the Malaysian market, TQ WULING offers three body colour options: Milky White, Neon Blue and Lavender Purple, all paired with a Black Roof, enabling buyers to pick a look that matches their personality

Inside the cabin, the Bingo EV continues the theme of “retro-inspired modernity.” The interior features a dual-tone colour scheme paired with soft leatherette upholstery in Caramel Latte colour. Practicality has not been sacrificed for design: the interior includes 15 separate compartments for small items, while cargo capacity is generous for its class — with the boot offering from 395 litres up to 1240 litres of storage when the rear seats are folded down, making the car flexible for daily commuting, groceries, or weekend trips.
Comfort and convenience features are also well thought out: the driver’s seat is six-way electric-adjustable, facilitating a comfortable driving position for a variety of body types. The car also offers conveniences such as keyless entry with walkaway auto-lock/unlock, cruise control, electronic air conditioning with physical buttons for easy access, electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold and a rotary gear selector for a clean, uncluttered console.
