Scania Malaysia Delivers to MFJ Logistics their First Scania New Truck Generation XT Truck

Scania recently delivered the first Scania New Truck Generation (NTG) XT G410A6x4NZ in Johor to MFJ Logistics Sdn. Bhd. (MFJ). This heavy duty NTG Scania XT truck comes with Contracted Services and Scania Fleet Management System (FMS) Control 10 and covered by Scania Financial Services. Scania Malaysia handed over the key to Mad Faisal Jamaluddin, Director of MFJ Logistics Sdn. Bhd at MFJ’s premises in Pagoh, Johor.

MFJ Logistics was established in 2014  and is focused on the transportation of Palm Oil fruits that is collected daily from small holding plantations all around Muar and delivered to the Palm Oil refinery for processing.

“I have always had the faith in the Scania brand and believe that it is the brand to own and operate my transportation business. And with the price of crude palm oil at its highest, the palm oil fruits to be transported are increasing requiring a truck that can take heavier loads. And with the NTG XT, I am able to support the transportation requirements of the smallholders more than before,” said Mad Faisal on why he chose Scania as his latest vehicle.

Scania Contracted and Financial Services give MFJ a comprehensive logistical solution for a total peace-of-mind. Profitability could be realised immediately with fixed and predictable monthly cost with Scania's in-house financing. It also works that the package secured by MFJ for the truck is comprehensive, with a compete maintenance package as well as monitoring from Scania's FMS. So knowing that the XT is in good hands to secure uptime while it generates revenue through its day-to-day business operation.

“MFJ will enjoy the best fuel consumption and the best CO2 emissions

reduction which contribute to their profitability and sustainability efforts

throughout the life of the truck,” said Heba El Tarifi, Managing Director, Scania

Southeast Asia.

The Scania NTG XT stands ready to take on the toughest challenges. It can be

tailored to withstand challenging surroundings, securing uptime and boosting

productivity, in order for MFJ to run a profitable operation. Driving an XT truck

indicates true quality and is a sign of robustness and power. The XT bumper

provides excellent protection for the components at the front of the vehicle,

reducing unwanted downtime and costly cab and chassis repairs while

improving mobility with its larger attack angle. The Scania XT is fitted with

headlamp protection and integrated fog lamps in the bumper. When driving in

rough surroundings, having dependable lights that do not break makes a big

difference. Adjustable seat that is close to the door, ergonomic dashboard,

and large windscreen with extended view make it easier for the driver to

operate in a comfortable and safe environment.

The Fleet Management System Control 10 gives MFJ a lot more of both

information and insights. From core necessities like real time positioning of

the XT, via vehicle performance, environmental reports, service planning and

defect reporting all the way to driver evaluation which will help MFJ to quickly

identify potential vehicle usage improvements that could be achieved via

driver training and coaching.

The NTG XT is also designed and engineered to give MFJ better fuel efficiency

and lower CO2 emissions as it is equipped with advanced powertrain and

aerodynamic solutions that gives 3% improved fuel economy. The pre-set

Economy Mode default, in MFJ’s NTG XT that comes with Opticruise, saves

even more fuel.

“I would like to congratulate MFJ Logistics for being the first in Johor to realise

a smart investment in the XT as the precise choice for its business operations

and for being the partner in Johor to take advantage of the combination of the

Contracted and Financial Services which would secure a faster and higher

return on its investment,” concluded Heba.
