As Mercedes-Benz celebrates 140 Years of Innovation, the pioneering spirit that has shaped mobility since 1886 continues to guide its commitment to electric mobility. With a clear goal of providing charging access wherever customers are, Mercedes-Benz is building a comprehensive charging ecosystem that supports every stage of the all-electric and plug-in hybrid ownership experience. In Malaysia, this is supported by Charge at Home with the Mercedes-Benz Wallbox, Charge at Retail in collaboration with its retail partners, and Charge at Public through partnerships with golf courses, hotels, and shopping malls, spanning 19 locations nationwide and comprising 44 chargers. With the introduction of MB.CHARGE Public, Mercedes- Benz is further enhancing this charging strategy by bringing public charging access, navigation, and payment together through a single digital service.
Globally, MB.CHARGE Public is one of the largest public charging networks, with access to more than 3 million charging points worldwide, over 380,000 active users, and availability across 37 countries. Its
rollout in Malaysia marks another step in extending this charging ecosystem to Mercedes-Benz customers across the world.
By combining intelligent navigation with an integrated digital charging service, Mercedes-Benz
demonstrates the technological sophistication of its vehicles. The charging functions are seamlessly
integrated into the MBUX multimedia system and the Mercedes-Benz App, allowing operation through a single user interface. The deep vehicle integration and connectivity with the charging infrastructure make public charging easier and meet key customer requirements for electromobility.
This integrated approach reduces the need to navigate multiple charging applications, bringing greater
ease and convenience to customers. MB.CHARGE Public is available for all-electric Mercedes-Benz
vehicles as well as plug-in hybrid models, further enhancing the charging experience across the
Mercedes-Benz electrified portfolio.
