Michelin Malaysia recently announced that the ‘MICHELIN Primacy 5’ tyre range is now extended to equip SUVs, which are now the most popular range of cars here in Malaysia. Beyond premium driving comfort, lasting safety, and EV compatibility, the
extended line also delivers peace of mind even on rough road conditions.
This extension to the range adds 34 new fitments for 16- to 22-inch wheels to the
‘MICHELIN Primacy 5’ range, providing a wider range of sizing options to fit all vehicle types and meet diverse consumer needs. The recommended retail price for the MICHELIN Primacy 5 starts from RM467 to RM1,639.

Kuala Lumpur, 13 April 2026 – Michelin Malaysia has announced the extension
of its acclaimed MICHELIN Primacy 5 line to include sport utility vehicles (SUVs),
covering both ICE and electric models. With this expansion, the MICHELIN Primacy 5 now offers a broader range of sizing options to fit a wider variety of vehicle types. This allows motorists to select tyres based on their driving needs, while enabling more drivers to experience the trusted performance, premium comfort, and peace of mind that define the MICHELIN Primacy 5.

MICHELIN PRIMACY5 stopped 16% (new tyre) and 16% (worn tyre) shorter than other premium brands in average. Worn tyre means tyre buffed on machine to the depth of 2 mm remaining tread depth.
3 Wet handling (SUV) - External tests conducted by TUV Rheinland Thailand Ltd, on MICHELIN's request, wet cornering test @ 50kph and wet moose test @ 60 kph, using 265/60R18 on a Toyota Fortuner 2.4 Leader MY2025 in November 2025 at Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center, Chachoengsao, Thailand.
MICHELIN PRIMACY5 obtained Good impression in Wet cornering and Best impression in Wet moose tests among

4 Energy efficiency (SUV): Rolling Resistance tests conducted on machine by Thailand Automative institute, on
MICHELIN's request, in November 2025 at Automotive and Tyre Testing, Research and Innovation Center, Chachoengsao, Thailand using 265/60 R18. MICHELIN PRIMACY 5 has 10% of rolling resistance better than other premium brands in average. (Energy efficiency - Thanks to the MICHELIN Functional Elastomers 3.0).
