UMW Toyota Brings Mobility for All – and Movement TO YOU – to the Pickleball Court ..i.e, Toyota has a pickleball competition

Toyota Malaysia has decided to follow the latest craze for Pickleball

This year, UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) brings that spirit even closer to Malaysians with the Toyota x Astro Audio All-Stars Pickleball Invitational 2025, an experience that brings movement, community and joy TO YOU, wherever you are.

Held across Johor Bahru, Penang and Petaling Jaya from 22 November to 7 December 2025, this invitational transforms Malaysia’s fastest-growing sport into an inclusive community platform. Families, casual players and Astro personalities gather with one shared intention: to move, connect, and enjoy being part of a community. Each venue from D’Pickle Zone’s lively atmosphere to G.O.A.T Pickle Club’s neighbourhood warmth and Factory 19’s urban-cool vibe brings the experience TO YOU in a way that feels local, familiar, and welcoming.

“Pickleball is rising across the world, and Malaysia has the opportunity to move with that momentum. There is real potential in the way the sport brings people together through simple movement and shared play, which is why we are choosing to invest in its future today. We want Malaysians to grow with this global trend, not observe it from afar. Mobility for All is about creating experiences that support everyday movement, and bringing this growing sport TO YOU is part of that purpose,” said Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor

UMWT views pickleball as more than a sport. It is a simple, accessible movement that reflects the heart of Toyota’s latest human-centred brand direction TO YOU: mobility shaped around people, their lifestyles, and their everyday moments.

By bringing pickleball TO YOU — to your town, your community, your weekend, Toyota is turning its brand promise into lived experiences. Movement becomes easy.

Participation becomes natural. Community becomes stronger. And mobility becomes something that exists not just on the road, but in the environments that bring people together.

Developing Communities and Creating Opportunities

Pickleball’s simplicity makes it a natural space for inclusion. With minimal equipment and a welcoming learning curve, the sport allows people of all ages and abilities to join in. This mirrors Toyota’s belief that when movement is made simpler and more accessible, more people can participate, and more opportunities can be created.

Across three weekends, the invitational hosts men’s, women’s, mixed and junior doubles categories, awarding RM180,000 in total prizes. But beyond competition, the event opens doors for families to bond, for young players to learn, and for communities to enjoy a healthy, joyful activity together.

A Partnership That Connects TO YOU

The collaboration with Astro strengthens the initiative’s reach, bringing the invitational TO YOU through voices Malaysians know and love. Eight Astro radio stations champion the event in their own style, from hit-driven youth stations to nostalgic classics, from English favourites to Tamil and Chinese radio communities, ensuring the energy of pickleball reaches every corner of Malaysian life.

From Mobility for All to Being Best in Town

For UMWT, “Mobility for All” is a commitment to build experiences that uplift people, communities, and lifestyles. With the invitational, Toyota brings its “Best in Town” aspiration TO YOU, creating activities that energise local communities, inspire participation, and celebrate togetherness.

Ultimately, the Toyota x Astro Audio All-Stars Pickleball Invitational is a reminder that mobility is not only about travelling to destinations — it is about the meaningful moments that come TO YOU: the laughter of a shared rally, the thrill of learning something new, and the bonds created when communities gather.

Through this invitational, UMW Toyota continues to bring confident, joyful and inclusive movement TO YOU, staying true to its vision of Mobility for All in a way that is real, human, and grounded in Malaysian life.
