Some news from the automotive grapevine
It seems that VW may stop building that twin charged engine that they call the 'Twincharger' due to costs. This rumor may actually be true. Read here to find out why I think the world would be a slightly duller place without it.

The reason VW is selling well is because the TSI engine and the DSG gearbox. You remove the superb TSI engine to save cost then what is the point of owning a VW? People are shelling big bucks buying BMW not because cost, but performance/brand, similarly people buying VW not to save cost but performance/brand.
Unfortunately when VW label TSI at the back of its products aren't always superturbo. A good casing point is the Polo 1.2TSI, it's only turbo charged hahaha
Back to the topic, since this is true I guess current superturbo owners like Golf 1.4 would be starting to get worried of future availability of the parts. And having two forced fed snails ain't pocket friendly to maintain
Firdaus: You may have just made the used/2nd hand car market value for the 1.4TSI VWs lose about RM20K with your statement :)
