Yesterday evening, Isuzu Malaysia launched the facelifted and refreshed 2024 third generation Isuzu D-Max pickup truck. Coming with a refreshed front end with a new grille, lights, bumper, new rear lights and a larger infotainment screen as well as other interior refreshments, the new D-Max looks like it is more comfortable and car-like inside and looks like it can take on the elements from the outside. Like it always has. The D-Max has always been a favourite here among the pickup truck crowd (even with me) and with the refreshed looks as well as features, it should be welcomed here.

Due to a demand from Ford Raptor fans in Malaysia for a smaller engine capacity Raptor the Next-Generation Ranger Raptor in 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo Diesel engine for will be made available soon. Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, announced earlier today that the Next-Generation Ranger Raptor 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel will be available starting 8 June 2023. While the Next-Gen Raptor was launched in Malaysia recently, it only came with a larger 3.0liter petrol turbo powered engine. With Malaysia being a country where engine capacity is taxed on how large the size is, a 2.0liter variant was always demanded by most people.
Yesterday, Isuzu Malaysia introduced the 2023 Isuzu D-Max range which has received a number of updates for the model year. Notable changes is the introduction of new body colours for the flagship 3.0liter X-Terrain and 3.0liter and 1.9liter Premium variants including a new Islay Gray Mica . Both variants also benefit from a new shade of white – Dolomite White Pearl which has a more lustrous sheen than the previous Silky PearlWhite. Now, there is also Biarritz Blue Metallic replacing the Sapphire Blue, available primarily with the Automatic Premium, 1.9liter Auto Plus and 1.9liter Automatic Standard variants.
Ford, together with Malaysian authorised distributors Sime Darby Auto Connexion has launched the next generation Ford Ranger pickup truck. This ever popular pickup was engineered with valuable input from customers, Ford engineers and designers created a bold, purposeful exterior design and sleek, inviting, high-tech interior. Still familiar in its overall styling but improved all over according to the folks at Ford. I managed to attend the launch event even though I had quite a busy schedule. Maybe since it was Friday and most of my errands were done for the week (trying to get things back on track after all lockdowns over the past two years).
Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, had on 3rd March 2021 revealed the New 2021 Ford Ranger Raptor X Special Edition, which is special to Malaysia and comes in True Red colour. This is also the first time that the colour Red will be offered on a Raptor for customers here. It will come with more equipment and additional safety features as standard, notably it has a in-built 360-degree camera, Dual Digital Video Recorder, and distinctive accessories comprising a bold Raptor X decal and Special Edition carpet mats.
