PRO-NET Showcases its EV Technologies and the Proton e.MAS EVs at GATE 2025 which is open to the public at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre 12-14 November 2025

 


Today, PROTON and PRO-NET is at the Global Automotive and Technology Expo (GATE) 2025. The event is held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur, from the 12 th to the 14 th of November 2025 and it open to the public , The three- day premier regional event aims to bring together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to shape the future of electric mobility, autonomous systems, and sustainable transportation.

Public Bank Berhad enters into a collaboration with Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET)

Public Bank Berhad  had formalised a collaboration with Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) by entering into a Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) on 9 August 2023 which aims to provide financing facilities on financial products and services sold by PRO-NET (which was set up to sell new energy powered vehicles like EVs etc), and to embark on digitalization via systems integration with smart Malaysia (PRO-NET's first vehicle dealership in Malaysia) and its authorized dealers.

This collaboration will enable Public Bank to facilitate digitalisation via online submission of hire purchase end-financing applications and Floor Stocking facility through smart customer App and their authorized dealers thus improving the market shares in the EV automotive industry. Basically, this arrangement allows smart Malaysia dealers to have financial instruments available from Public Bank right from the start of sales of smart vehicles here, especially the upcoming smart#1 compact crossover car.

smart Malaysia appoints five more dealers


In line with the roll-out plan for smart products in Malaysia, PRO-NET, the official importer and distributor for smart vehicles in Malaysia and Thailand, has appointed more dealerships which will be located at prime locations and major cities across Peninsular Malaysia.  These appointments will enable the brand to kickstart the sales of the company’s all-new innovative EV, the award-winning smart #1, which is set to be launched here before the end of 2023.

smart Malaysia via PRO-NET appoints EON Berhad as an authorised dealer


Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET) has appointed Edaran Otomobil Nasional Berhad (EON), the automotive retail arm of DRB-HICOM, as an official dealer for smart Malaysia. The addition of EON follows the appointment of a Hap Seng Group company, Hap Seng Smart, earlier this month, with five other dealership appointments to be announced soon.

Proton New Energy Technology Sdn. Bhd. (PRO-NET) - official importer and distributor for Smart vehicles in Malaysia and Thailand appoints its first authorised dealer, Hap Seng Smart Sdn. Bhd.

Surprising news folks. Smart cars, the very tiny car manufacturer is back via Proton New Energy Technology Sdn. Bhd. (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of Proton cars and Hap Seng Group (as its first dealer). The company which was formed to promote and market New Energy Vehicle (NEV) from the Proton and Geely joint venture has hit an important milestone here in its development of pushing such vehicles with the appointment of its first authorized dealer, Hap Seng Smart Sdn. Bhd. Note that Smart vehicles was a joint venture project started out by Mercedes-Benz with watch manufacturer Swatch Group but since 2019 has been a partnership arrangement with Geely to promote and sell Smart badged cars globally.

Gentari, PETRONAS' clean energy subsidiary, and Pro-Net, PROTON's EV subsidiary, has entered into a MoU to leverage each other to drive growth in Malaysia's EV sector

PROTON’s new energy vehicle subsidiary, Proton New Energy Technology (PRO-NET) had earlier today entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Gentari Sdn. Bhd., the clean energy subsidiary of PETRONAS, at the International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM). This is part of Proton's intention to develop its own-brand NEVs and also for boh parties to leverage the capabilities  and drive growth in Malaysia’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in line with national decarbonisation goals.
