 Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia will organise an off-road test drive event on July 20th and 21st, 2024, at M4TREC, a 4WD training and experience centre in Semenyih. It is in conjunction with the GWM TANK 300’s recent launch in Malaysia, for this fully imported (CBU) off-road SUV is priced competitively at RM 250,000 on the road without insurance and comes in four attractive colours: Dusk Orange, Fossil Grey, Crystal Black, and Pearl White.

This event provides the public with the opportunity to experience custom-designed obstacles and challenges that showcase the capabilities of the GWM TANK 300, which is the newest SUV that actually seems to have off-road capabillities rather than the usual soft, urban type crossovers on the market here today. It highlights the Tank 300 as the ideal off-road SUV. Additionally, participants can receive training from expert instructors on how to tackle any rugged terrain during their outdoor adventures.

The Malaysia Autoshow 2024 is just around the corner! - 45 Car and Bike launches starting from 22nd to 26th May 2024

Expect an influx of passenger car and bike related news this next few days. The Malaysia Autoshow 2024 will start on the 22nd of May and run till 26th May 2024. If you have nothing to do during those days, do hed over the MAEPS, Serdang. The Autoshow will have about 45 car and bike launches so you will get the see the latest vehicles that we will see on our roads over there.

The Best of Outdoor Lifestyle exhibition - Off The Grid 2024 23-25 February 2024 - presented by the folks who organise the Art of Speed Malaysia exhibitions

The Off The Grid 2024 (OTG 2024) outdoor lifestyle exhbition is taking place at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS) – inside Hall A – with an area of 150,000 sqft along with 4 acres of outdoor area. MAEPS will be hosting OTG 2024 on 23, 24 & 25 February 2024 (10:00 am – 10:00 pm).

After the official Malaysian unveiling of the smart #1 at EVx 2023, smart Malaysia had recently hosted an exclusive weekend preview event. With over 1,000 attendees, the event garnered significant interest from smart enthusiasts and actually had the #1 out on test drives and in-person interaction. So many interested people were happy. Now,smart Malaysia has announced that they are now on schedule for their dealership's grand opening in Malaysia and the #1 will be on display at the upcoming Carlist DRIVE Auto Fair 2023 held at Setia City Convention Centre from 1st to the 3rd of September 2023.

MYPerodua Nation is back! This event is the nation’s premier Perodua event for everyone. The annual carnival is now back for the third year running and features all things Perodua. MYPerodua Nation 2019 will be on from the 20-22 September at Setia City Oval Lawn in Setia Alam, Selangor. Perodua expects a crowd of some 25,000 expected over the three day period. 

Upcoming Events: MINIfest Celebrates 60 Years of MINI - 7th September 2019 at Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort

MINI Malaysia invites all you MINIacs to join in the 60th birthday of MINI with the MINIfest. It will be held on the 7th of September 2019 from 12pm to 7pm at the  Indoor Arena of Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, Kuala Lumpur. There will be the MINI 60 Years Edition (pictured below) on display with MINI Classic cars, test drives and more for everyone.

KL Supercar Drag Race - 4 scheduled programmes from mid-July to December 2016 to be held

I am busy celebrating the Idil Fitri right now so there will not be many posts from me for the moment. Anyway, this is just to inform you folks that there will be something called the KL Supercar Drag Race at Dataran Merdeka that should be on from mid-July to December 2016. The first is scheduled for this coming 15th to the 17th of July. 

At The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 & Directional 5 Tire Launch

It was a whole day event held on the 30th of July 2011 which I attended together with a pal of mine, Firdaus (who maintains his own VW Polo GTI blog). The event was pretty good actually. We got to know about the new Eagle F1 tires and they had food. There was breakfast, lunch and tea. We had food and was asked to drive around some cones, sat through a product briefing, was driven round and round the Proton High Speed Oval Test Ring and then drove round a short time attack course - which I promptly got confused and drove an extra trip around some cones. Give me a proper track or a navigator as I am useless in memorizing stuff.
