Earlier today, Chery Malaysia announced support for Malaysian athletes who will be heading to the upcoming Olympic games in Paris next month. Globally, the Chery Group has been supporting local athletes from various countries who will be competing in the upcoming games. In Malaysia, aside from the support promised to the athletes, various activities for customers, including viewing parties, have been organised to cheer on our athletes.
Chery Malaysia has stated that they are excited to cheer them on as they strive for glory as sport deserves some additional incentives for the hard work put in by those representing the country. Aside from that news, Chery Malaysia also held a preview for their upcoming Tiggo 7 SUV. Launch is actually very soon, so not much news here for the moment.
"We know they have put in the hard work and long hours of training for the games. We have high hopes that this year, Malaysia will achieve the coveted gold medal that the nation has been eyeing." said Leo Chen President of Chery Auto Malaysia.
To further motivate and reward the athletes’ efforts, Chery Malaysia has pledged the following:
• Gold Medal Winners will be rewarded with the seven-seater Tiggo 8 Pro.
• Silver Medal Winners will receive the all-electric Omoda E5.
• Bronze Medal Winners will take home the Tiggo 7 Pro.
The partnership collaboration was announced by Chen in an event attended by Datuk Stuart Ramalingam Chief Executive Officer Malaysian Football League and Coordinator of Road to Gold Programme, Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile Co.,Ltd and Zhang Guibing, President of Chery International.
“We are indeed very happy with the pledge by Chery Malaysia to reward Malaysia athletes who will do well in the upcoming Olympics in Paris. We hope this will spur the athletes to give their best and make the country proud," said National Sports Council Director-General, Abdul Rashid Yaakub.
