The Hyundai STARGAZER is finally, officially launched, in Malaysia. This is after a preview at a recent Kuala Lumpur auto show months ago and a lot of media and social media teasers. This is a 6 or 7 seater compact MPV that first made its debut sometime in 2022. We are getting the facelifted variant here and it brings some freshness to the compact people carrier variety here in Malaysia. We will have it in three variant,all of them are fully imported for now. The variants are the Style, Prime and X which gives us different levels of seating and equipment levels from RM99,800 onwards.
Captain style seats for the middle row - one is folded. You get this in the 6 seater X variant. Consider this a mini-premium transporter as technically, you won't feel that out of place if you had a chauffer even in such a compact vehicle.
The 2027 Stargazer in the Style and Prime offer seven-seats v while the Stargazer Xgets a six-seat captain-chair configuration for compact luxury for the middle row. Makes you want to be driven in this compact MPV rather than driving it if it is in this configuration. This is really a niche in this market segment and it offers some premium seating for something so compact.
Positioned as ‘The WEhicle’, STARGAZER brings together Hyundai’s latest distinctive design cues and smart technology with flexible space, comprehensive safety, and convenience. It is powered by a 1.5liter 4cylinder petrol engine which makes 115ps and 144Nm torque. The front wheels are driven through an 8 speed (virtual) CVT gearbox. According to Hyudai, it has been tuned to have a balanced between response and efficiency so while it may be a MPV, there should be somewhat of a decent drive here.

The STARGAZER is designed for the morning school run, the pick- ups after a long day, bringing parents where they need to go, or simply making room when one more person comes along.
