MIBTC 2015: Scania launches Marcopolo complete coach and specialist Construction Trucks

Scania Malaysia launched two products at MIBTC 2015 recently. One is the complete premium coach and the other, specialist Construction Trucks for the Malaysian market. The Scania Construction Trucks and the Scania Marcopolo complete coach were officially launched by the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Syed Hamid Syed Albar, together with the Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia, James Armstrong.

The Scania Marcopolo can now be ordered, serviced and maintained from Scania Malaysia. Usually with buses or coaches, the manufacturer will usually sell a bare chassis which local coachbuilders add a body and seating to it. This time, everything is put together 'in-house' as a result of a partnership between Scania and Brazilian coachbuilders Marcopolo, who have been in the industry since 1949.What this ensures is quality fittings, a faster lead time and maximum uptime due to every maintainence done in house.

Scania Construction Trucks are customisable and flexible enough to fit the most challenging conditions and applications in the construction industry of Malaysia. They feature the powerful, efficient and well-proven range of Euro 3, 4, 5 and 6 engine options mated to a chassis designed for higher load capacity, that are then driven from within a cab that is superior in comfort and safety.

All of Scania products are with 2-years free Scania Maintenance, 2-years free Scania Assistance and 10-years free Scania Fleet Management.

Aside from this, Scania  Malaysia held a preview for the main Scania Driver Competition 2014/2015 Malaysia-Singapore (SDC) that will be held later this year. The special event held at the expo allowed visitors the rare experience of handling a truck themselves.
